Five channels, checked live on 9 October 2026. Every line traces to a source captioned on the page.
| Channel | Dee Kay Ceramics | Mud Australia | KW Ceramics | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google rankings 6 money searches | Page one on 0 of 6 | Page one on 5 of 6 | Page one on 4 of 6 | One brand appears five times across these six searches. The rest is studio potters and kitchenware chains. |
| Google Ads Transparency Centre, AU | 0 ads on record | 6 ads on record | 0 ads on record | One kitchenware brand is buying the dinner set term. Nobody else in this market is paying. |
| Meta Ads Ad Library, active now | No ads match your search criteria | ~730 results | Not checked | No verifiable Meta ads from this studio. The 730 results under Mud Australia's name are keyword matches, not a campaign of theirs we could confirm. |
| Landing page Where the click lands | 2 forms, about 300 words | Ad lands on a range page with free shipping named up front. | No ads to land anywhere. | Six competitor ads land on a range page with free shipping named. This studio has no page built to take a click. |
| Reputation Google rating (reviews) | 5.0 (2 reviews) | 4.8 (17 reviews) | 5.0 (13 reviews) | Five stars from 2 reviews is a start and nothing more. A buyer comparing studios reads that number before they read a single description. |
Mud Australia holds five of the six searches, including the top of handmade pottery Sydney. KW Ceramics holds the top of handmade ceramics and a place on the mugs term. The dinner set searches are held by kitchenware retailers and one of them is buying ads. You rank on none of the six, and the browser tab on your home page reads – Dee Kay Ceramics, the raw HTML code for a dash that never rendered.

The handmade searches are winnable. A studio of one holds the top of handmade ceramics and a place on mugs, and the pages sitting behind them are makers rather than retailers. The dinner set term is a retail fight you do not need to enter, but the words handmade, pottery and studio belong to makers like you.
The chain, with every assumption written down. Deliberately conservative.
The six searches in this report at an example volume a market this size supports. An example, not a measured figure.
The clicks you do not get today, once those pages sit around position three, rounded down.
Orders at 2% of those visits, the rate an online store should expect from cold search traffic.
Two orders a month at your own average order value, which I have deliberately not assumed.
Two orders a month will not change a studio on its own. What does change a studio is a page that ranks once and sells for years, and in a category fought over by makers rather than retailers those pages are still available.
Estimates, not promises. Each assumption is deliberately conservative so the number holds up.
Write the handmade pages properly, fix the title tag, and give each range its own page with the words a buyer uses for it.

Mud Australia buys the searches around hand made ceramics with six ads, each pointing at a different part of the range. Nothing is running from this studio, so a shopper looking for exactly this kind of work never sees it.
Their ad click lands on a page with the range and the shipping offer in the first line. The connection between seeing and buying is one tap long, which is all it needs to be.
A potter's hands at the wheel, then the finished piece on a table.
Hand made work sells on the maker. Thirty seconds of the wheel, then the piece in a home, answers the only question a buyer has: is this actually made by a person. Mud's own ads sell the range; the studio sells the story.
What was actually checked: no ad of its own anywhere, and six competitor ads in the Transparency Centre.
Why this matters: a stronger headline and hook lifts click-through. Higher click-through lowers what Meta charges per click. Cheaper clicks mean more visits from the same budget, and more visits mean more enquiries. Ceramics is a visual product in a visual feed. The first studio to post the making, rather than the catalogue, owns it.
The home page title reads – Dee Kay Ceramics in the tab because the dash was written as HTML code and never rendered, and the page has no meta description. It is the cheapest repair on this list and it affects every search you could rank for.
Handmade ceramics and handmade pottery Sydney are held by makers rather than retailers. Your work belongs on those pages.
Tableware, mugs and dinnerware are three different buyers. Each one needs its own page with the words that buyer types.
The studio process is the product in hand made work. Photographs of work in progress and the kiln do more than a product cutout on white.
No studio here is running Meta, and ceramics is a feed product. A short clip of the wheel, then the finished piece on a table, is the cheapest test this business has.
If you want the same treatment applied to the whole funnel, the next step is a working session. I will take this report apart line by line, show you where the buyers are leaking and what the first 90 days look like.
Book a time with DeanAt 18 I started a corporate events company doing photo booths, DJing and photography. I could not afford an agency, so I taught myself web development, Meta Ads, Google Ads and SEO off YouTube, got myself to number one on Google, and took it to roughly $300,000.
Everything in this report I can read because I have spent my own money on the exact channels it covers. What follows is not theory. It is what I would fix first.
